Student Profile
The master's degree is aimed at graduates with studies related to food science, technology or engineering, although it can also be used to provide food expertise to graduates in human nutrition and dietetics, biotechnology, veterinary medicine, biology, chemistry or other qualifications that have provided them with basic knowledge in food sciences.
Master's degree students must have a minimum prior knowledge of food science and technology; knowledge automatically recognized to students from the Degrees in Agricultural and Food Engineering (specialty of food industries) and Food Science and Technology. In case of not coming from any of these degrees and not being able to demonstrate the mastery of the basic knowledge, the coordination committee of the master will be able to recommend leveling credits. The training supplement Processes in the Food Industry will be offered online in a time compatible with the master's degree, during the months of September-December.
Admission Requirements
The requirement to enroll in the master's degree is to be in possession of a degree, a Spanish undergraduate or graduate degree or a foreign degree approved by the Ministry of Science and Innovation. Students in possession of non-approved foreign degrees with a level of training equivalent to a Spanish degree may be admitted at the discretion of the University of Lleida. According to Royal Decree 1393/2007, published on October 30, for admission to master's degrees it is necessary to be in possession of an official university degree.

Average mark of the academic transcript of degree: 50%
Other official degrees or master's degrees in the field of agri-food: 20%
Courses related to studies: 15%
Scientific articles: 10%
Scientific dissemination articles: 5%
